Overview
Join SACE as a Youth Counsellor to support children experiencing sexual violence. This full‑time role focuses on providing therapy and crisis intervention in a compassionate setting. In this role, you will provide critical support to young survivors aged 3–17 and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and therapy to survivors
- Schedule and conduct at least 20 client sessions weekly
- Facilitate group counselling meetings
- Maintain accurate and skilled client records
- Consult with professionals regarding client treatment
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counselling or social work with clinical focus
- Designation as a Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Social Worker
- Experience with trauma‑informed counselling for youth
- Understanding of sexual violence effects
- Committed to anti‑oppressive practices
