WINDING ENGINE DRIVER

Minimum Required Qualification:
Level 4: Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National Cert level 4 Certificate GET Education, Training and Development
Recognised Winding Engine Driver certificate as issued by the DMR
Onsetter's Certificate
The Appointee should:
NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent)
Recognised Winding Engine Driver certificate as issued by the DMR.
Proof must be provided that certificate is still valid and WED has driven a winder in the last 2 years as an appointed WED.
Onsetter’s Certificate
At least 1-2 years’ experience as a Winding Engine Driver on AC and DC machines or have proof of Competence for newly qualified WED.
Medically fit to work in the specific business area
Clear security screening record
Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Additional Requirements:
2-3 years’ experience as an Onsetter will be advantageous
