WELDING SUPERINTENDENT (P/L)

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities associated with structural, piping and pipeline welding on board offshore barges/vessels.
• Identify requirements for personnel, equipment and welding consumables to meet project requirements prior to offshore mobilization.
• Coordinate with welding supervisors, foremen, welding inspectors and third‑party NDT personnel.
• Carry out welding trials, qualification of welding procedures, training of welders and welding operators offshore.
• Implement applicable welding and QA/QC procedures and maintain welders’ qualification validity.
• Conduct toolbox meetings with the welding crew and promote safety awareness among them.
• Supervise the setup of welding, beveling and clamping equipment for correctness.
