Key Responsibilities

• Inspect welding preparation, fit‑up, alignment, and joint condition before welding.
• Monitor welding work during production when required.
• Carry out visual inspection of completed welds.
• Use or support suitable NDT methods such as PT or MT when required.
• Identify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, undercut, voids, incorrect weld size, or poor weld profile.
• Ensure welds are properly cleaned, finished, and accepted before moving to the next process.
• Coordinate with welders and production supervisors to correct rejected welds.
• Follow up on weld repair work and re‑inspect after correction.
• Support pressure testing or leak testing activities when required.
