As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing ship components while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.
Key responsibilities include: Welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures using a variety of welding processes:
Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
MIG Welding
Automatic & Semi-Automatic Welding (Submerged Arc & KAT)
Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)Working from welding procedures, manufacturing instructions and technical drawings
Producing high-quality, right-first-time work that contributes to successful ship construction
Using air and electric power tools safely and effectively
