**Job Description**

This role involves performing structural steel fitting and welding duties in a steel fabrication environment. You will work with a variety of welding processes, read and interpret blueprints, and ensure precise measurements while fabricating and fitting structural steel and pipe components.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform structural steel fitting for a variety of fabrication projects, ensuring components align and fit according to specifications.
+ Complete flux core welding on structural and pipe assemblies, following established welding procedures and quality standards.
+ Use a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th of an inch to lay out, mark, and verify dimensions on steel and pipe materials.
+ Carry, position, and handle materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs safely throughout the workday.
+ Perform tack welding to hold components in place prior to final welding and assembly.
