FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description)
The Welders are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner.
POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience)
High School diploma or equivalent education.Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least two years being NAVSEA-related experience.Possesses standard tools for a welder.Able to work different shifts.Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces.Must have knowledge of weld symbols and general DWGs.Must pass FCAW, 2G, 3G & 4G 71T1 .045 wire.Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 11018 “stick”.Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 309 “stick”.Must pass GMAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series.Must pass GTAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series.Must pass GTAW, 4F &...
