Weld Technician

Job Summary

He/she is responsible for ensuring Martinrea and Customer quality requirements are met by identifying and providing input to resolve welding concerns.

Knowledge and Skills (Education)

• Post‑secondary education – Completion of Welding Technologist/Technician Course from a Community or recognized college consisting of two years or more
• Sound understanding of Welding Metallurgy
• Fundamental understanding of NDE techniques
• Sound understanding of Gas Metal Arc Welding, Projection and Resistance Welding
• Manual GMAW experience
• Working experience with industrial robots
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills
• Must be willing to work shifts and be flexible (including overtime on short notice)
• Ability to work well with fellow team members and promote Team concept
