VP Sanctions Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A financial institution is seeking a Sanctions Compliance Specialist to support and enhance its sanctions compliance program. This role is responsible for analyzing sanctions-related data, monitoring transaction activity, and helping mitigate financial crime risk while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sanctions regulations across multiple jurisdictions, experience with transaction screening and alert disposition, and the ability to make risk-based decisions regarding transaction approval, blocking, rejection, or escalation. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
