Voluntary Services Officer

Summary The Voluntary Services Officer is responsible for supervising and managing the coordination of the day-to-day activities of the Center for Development & Civic Engagement/Voluntary Service and assisting with various support activities for the Public Affairs and Community Outreach Programs throughout the VA Maryland Health Care System. Responsibilities Duties to include but not limited to: Plans and performs evaluations for all subordinate staff, making changes in activities and program emphasis as found indicated by the evaluation. Provides guidance and supervision to the Voluntary Service Specialists and Program Specialists at three medical centers. Supervises and manages the recruitment, screening, selection, assignment, and if necessary, dismissal of volunteers.
