• Research Veterinarian Location: NHDP Vivarium, LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Annex, 5 Skip Bertman Dr., Baton Rouge, LA Position Summary: The NHDP is seeking a licensed veterinarian to provide professional veterinary care and oversight for a specialized research animal colony composed of armadillos and mice.


• This position supports leprosy (Hansen’s disease) research through collaboration with NIAID and requires expertise in exotic animal medicine, research compliance, and laboratory animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
