Vehicle Painter

Overview

A leading client in the Rail Rolling Stock Industry is recruiting for Vehicle Painters to work on a refurbishment contract until September 2028 at their site in Derby. The position offers options to work permanent days or permanent nights. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing rail vehicles and components to the highest quality standards, ensuring trains meet aesthetic and durability requirements expected in the industry. Roles are inside scope of IR35.

Schedule Options:

• Days (45‑hr week): 06:00‑16:30 Mon‑Thu (30 min unpaid lunch break per day), 06:00‑11:00 Fri (no lunch break).
• Nights (48‑hr week): 18:00‑06:00 Mon‑Thu (4 × night shifts, all paid breaks).
