Upholstery foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the upholstery team
• Read and interpret production drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Plan and allocate work to upholsterers based on project priorities and deadlines
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications
• Train, mentor, and evaluate upholstery staff to improve productivity and craftsmanship
• Ensure the correct use of materials, tools, machinery, and equipment
• Monitor material consumption and minimize waste
• Coordinate with production, carpentry, metal, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and enforce health and safety regulations
• Report daily production progress, delays, and manpower requirements to management
