Unit Manager

**Overview**

Responsible to the Section Manager and the Department Manager, the Unit Manager supervises employees to achieve productivity and quality goals. Responsible for communicating organizational needs, overseeing employees' performance, providing guidance and support, identifying development needs, and managing the reciprocal relationship between the staff and the organization so that all are successful.

**Responsibilities**

+ Manage the activities of the hourly/bargaining unit employees to meet quality and productivity targets.
+ Train and develop employees, evaluate employee performance, and provide constructive feedback.
+ Prepare and maintain employee records and other documentation, timekeeping records, and production records.
+ Coordinate model changeovers, ensure products are manufactured according to the bill of materials and work instructions, and backflush daily to ensure parts transform into finished goods.
