SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an Ironworker Journeyman that will be responsible for marking, positioning, and securing structural steel members to reinforce concrete or building structures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, flag, and inspect a crane; inspect rigging properlyRun a site level; check in truck deliveries against bill of ladingCount bars and bundles of rebar, dobies, and wire mesh; direct forklift/crane to unload delivery truckShake out rebar, distribute/organize accordingly; use pliers to tie rebar intersections with tie wireSplice mats or rebar sections together with short rebar dowels; cut excess rebar ends and miscellaneous pieces with gas cut saw or cutting torchInstall mechanical rebar splices by bolting or welding ends together; install caps on vertical rebar dowels for safetyDetermine number, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or or...
