Position Summary:

• To safely and efficiently acquire diagnostic ultrasounds and do so in a polite and professional manner.

Excellence in Practice:

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and procedures with correct positioning, technique, and equipment operations.


• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
• Delivers ultrasound exams and procedures in an efficient and timely manner.
• Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
• Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
• Analyses; sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, medical history and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
