Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations, consults with Radiologist on pathology findings, sets up and assists with special procedures for Radiologist.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring patient safety and supervising student technologists or nursing observers.
• Maintain hand-eye coordination and dexterity for scanning; manage urgent examination requests under pressure.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality; uphold departmental and hospital standards of quality patient care, productivity, economy and safety.
• Coordinate patient preparations and booking for special procedures.
• Utilize PACS and NEODIN for image display, networking, archival and retrieval.
