Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Undermanager, you work in collaboration with the Undermanager, Deputies, UG Mechanical Engineering Manager and Maintenance Planner.

The role will require you to:

Manage and supervise all mechanical activities on shift.

Provide technical support and direction in relation to mechanical maintenance and operations.

Maintain safety and electrical standards.

Skills and Experience

Hold a mechanical trade, or mechanical engineering qualification.

Sound understanding of the NSW Coal Mining Legislation and how it relates to underground mining processes.

Superior problem-solving skills.

Ability to build, coach and lead the shift mechanical team.

Previous experience as a supervisor at a modern longwall operation.
