Role Summary

Working hours: One day a week, likely Friday 15:00 – 18:00. School holiday hours: Not required (Unpaid). If the tutor is required, prior notice will be given and paid accordingly.

Location & Children

Area: Lonehill. Children’s Ages: 12 years old (Grade 6) – Twins.

Duties

• The primary focus of the role is tutoring Mathematics and Afrikaans, while also assisting with English as needed.
• Help reinforce classroom learning, prepare the children for tests and exams, identify and address learning gaps, and build their confidence through tailored academic support.
• One of the children has dyslexia and attends remedial lessons and the Raising Readers programme, so the ideal candidate should be understanding, adaptable and able to implement effective learning strategies to support her individual needs while ensuring both children remain motivated and achieve their full academic potential.
