Position Overview
The City of Kamloops is seeking a permanent, full-time Transportation Engineer to provide technical expertise and project management leadership in the planning, operation, and development of its transportation functions. The role reports to the Transportation Manager and is responsible for a broad range of transportation engineering functions, including traffic operations and studies, reviewing Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA’s), active transportation initiatives, transportation demand management programs, road safety improvements, and transit operations.
The Transportation Engineer works closely with internal departments, consultants, developers, and the public to ensure the safe, efficient, and sustainable movement of people and goods throughout the City. This position plays a key role in advancing strategic transportation pl...
