Transport Broker / Logistics Consultant

The successful candidate will have to negotiate sales deals and rates with customers as well as suppliers, meet budget and margin targets while proactively communicating with suppliers to transport goods effectively and efficiently to customers. An in depth knowledge of the road transport industry is required, and an existing customer book would be beneficial. Responsibilities: Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including regular visits. Negotiating new contracts. Negotiate transport rates with clients and transporters. Manage volumes allocated to the company. Understand the running cost of a vehicle to determine CPKs. Analyse commodity trends and adapt to market fluctuations. Keep track of the daily and monthly budgets. Adding new clients and transporters to our existing Maintain established admin procedures.
