Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1702-7, Training Technician located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM), Education and Training Quota Management Command (ETQC) in NORFOLK, Virginia. This position is currently located and being filled in Norfolk, VA. By 2028, the position will move to Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities You will serve as a Training Technician and be responsible for oversight of a training quota portfolio and provide customer service to the entire fleet by scheduling all specialized training to achieve mission readiness. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Schedules and issues C-School training orders for Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary members to attend Coast Guard hosted, commercial, or other agency training.
