The post holder will provide support to the General Surgical service and will be based on the wards, in the operating theatre and if required in outpatient clinics. In partnership with the Consultant Surgeon mentor and Consultant Nurse SCP, the post holder is responsible for implementing evidence based, patient focused care as well as providing specialist knowledge, assistance, and support for nursing and junior medical staff in the field of General Surgery. Main duties of the job Clinics, seeing specific pre-operative patients and listing them for surgical procedures following additional training, appropriate to local guidelines and requirements.
