This Transportation Engineer role focuses on traffic engineering, analysis, and safety studies for roadway projects across Michigan. You’ll develop signal designs, signing and pavement marking plans, and maintenance of traffic (MOT) strategies, using tools like Synchro, VISSIM, and SIDRA to model and analyze traffic flow. The role involves close collaboration with roadway design teams and project managers to integrate traffic solutions into MDOT projects. You’ll also review plans and deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, while preparing reports, cost estimates, and project schedules. In addition, you’ll support field reviews and construction-phase traffic needs, helping ensure projects are implemented safely and effectively.
