Thermal Engineer

The Thermal Engineer supports New Product Development and product sustaining tasks for the company’s Global Rack & Edge Thermal products.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to internal Vertiv functions.
• Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to the group.
• Supports analysis through mathematical modeling, HVAC software, and simulation for New Product Development.
• Works to verify simulation with lab testing; builds confidence in calculated data with empirical support.
• Works with Mechanical and Electrical teams to properly design all HVAC controls, piping, and heat exchangers.
• Performs lab testing of products.
• Works closely with technicians and other engineers, providing technical support and guidance on thermal problems.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor of Science in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
