Temporary Environmental Scientist at NS Power

Join the Environment Services team at Nova Scotia Power as a temporary Environmental Scientist. This hybrid role focuses on environmental science and compliance within the Hydro sector across Nova Scotia.
You will report to the Manager – Environmental (Hydro & Wind) and will be responsible for environmental compliance and operational studies. Engage with the Mi’kmaq community and ensure regulatory standards are met while assisting with data collection and project management. Your expertise will support both Hydro and Wind operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental studies and regulatory compliance
• Liaise with consultants and internal environmental staff
• Aid in the development of mitigation plans
• Perform field expertise and project supervision
