Basic Function:
The College Counselor actively creates, promotes and maintains a college/career-going culture that supports students and families for a successful transition from high school to post-secondary education/career. The College Counselor ensures clear, realistic, and supportive paths for students by developing and monitoring individualized college and career plans with students.
Essential Duties:
+ Develop, coordinate and facilitate college/career-related events including workshops, events, and tours
+ Develop and monitor graduation plans for all assigned students
+ Monitor college and career plans
+ Meet with students 1:1 to assess individual progress on graduation and college/career plans and promptly modify and procure support as needed
