About the role
The Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering requires a highly skilled, adaptable, and self-motivated skilled engineer to provide technical support to the departmental Mechanical Services workshop.
The successful applicant should have demonstrable experience in machining and manufacturing parts using a variety of conventional and CNC machine tools. In addition, the post holder will provide expert technical support to staff and students across the department and faculty with the specification, design and manufacture of bespoke mechanical systems, and the repair, maintenance and modification of new and existing experimental rigs and components. The Technical Specialist will bring expert mechanical systems knowledge to inform and influence effective design and manufacture of new rigs, and the adaptation of existing rigs.
