Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide advanced ECG monitoring by analyzing ECG strips and interpreting arrhythmias to support timely clinical interventions. Identify potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, respond to monitor alarms, and assist with code documentation and rhythm recording.
Responsibilities:

• Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings with proper electrode placement.
• Continuously monitor ECG tracings and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Identify rhythm changes requiring urgent escalation and initiate appropriate code responses when indicated.
• Document and record ECG rhythms during code events in accordance with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot ECG/monitoring problems to maintain reliable signal quality and patient safety.
• Communicate clearly with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians and enter/verify required orders in the computer system.
