Compensation

• Employees who do NOT hold a 4‑year honours degree or a 3‑year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate – $23.30 per hour (effective September1,2026).
• Employees who hold a 4‑year honours degree or a 3‑year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate – $36.67 per hour (effective September1,2026).
• In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 60 hours per half‑credit appointment.
• Attend TA meetings as scheduled.
• Prepare seminar materials.
• Proctor and grade assignments, tests and examinations in a timely manner, providing supportive and instructive written feedback.
• Hold office hours and answer student emails outside of scheduled student contact time.
• Maintain accurate records.
