Teacher (Special Education)

Job Responsibilities

• Plan Individual Education Plans (IEP)/ Individual Transition Plan (ITP), monitor students' progress and achievements, evaluate students' learning and prepare progress reports.
• Plan daily lesson plans/ weekly CCA and teach meaningful lessons (in all areas of curriculum), following the UDL framework to cater to students with different learning needs and abilities.
• Implement appropriate intervention strategies and positive behaviour support to improve students' behaviours.
• Establish an enriching and safe learning environment (within and beyond own classroom) that enhance student learning.
• Provide support and guidance to Teacher Assistants in the areas of teaching and learning
• Work collaboratively with the IEP Team and family for students' overall growth, positive student learning and transitions.
