NHS Fife has an exciting opportunity for a Telephonist to join our Switchboard team at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computerised switchboard to handle calls and respond to queries.
• Answer calls from internal and external callers.
• Respond to pager requests and emergency calls.
• Monitor alarms and provide advice and support on telephony services to NHS employees and the public.
• Work as part of a team and support other areas of the integrated service once fully trained.

Work Conditions

• Shift work, required to work all shifts across a 24‑hour period, 7 days a week.
• Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Qualifications

• Educated to Standard Grade (or equivalent) with passes in English and Arithmetic.
• Good keyboard/typing skills and ability to work independently.
