Surgical Technologist Certified

**Position Description:** **Certified Surgical Technologist**

+ The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
+ Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field.
+ Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
+ Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
+ May assist in patient transport.

**Status:** Full Time, Exempt: No

**Shift Hours:** 6:45am - 7:15pm

**Weekend Work:** Every Other

**On Call:** No

**Requirements:**

+ Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
