Department: Metro Perioperative Business Team
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities:
+ Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
+ Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
+ Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
+ Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
