SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS (WFO) DEPT (CODE 300) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC. Responsibilities You will provide advice/counsel to employees on matters involving maintenance of assigned ships, technical adequacy, work quality, and response to day-to-day requirements. You will interview and select for staff, Ship Building Specialists, and supervisory positions within the department. You will Identify and provide necessary developmental training. You will evaluate work performance of subordinates. You will manage depot level work to include work validation, planning, budgeting, and execution of the principle work product. You will serve as the surface ship maintenance expert to participate in process improvement initiatives, manage Maintenance Teams, assist with Maintenance and Modernization business Plan, resolve conflicts, and initiative procurement of material.
