Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector (Flight Oversight)

Summary This position serves as a Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector in the Flight Program Operations (AJF), Flight Program Safety directorate, Regulatory Training & Standards Group, AJF-3200. The organization is responsible for ensuring aircraft operations, maintenance programs, and aviation training programs comply with federal and safety regulations. This is a non-flying position. Responsibilities This Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector (Flight Oversight) will not conduct certification (pilot evaluating, testing, and checking) job functions as a required crewmember, including safety pilot. This position will apply a broad knowledge of the aviation industry, aviation safety, and Federal aviation laws, regulations, and policies.
