SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT

Summary You will serve as the BSO Accounting and Oversight Branch Head in the Fleet Comptroller Directorate of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. Responsibilities You will act as a subject matter expert in accounting and finance, resolve complex financial issues, and advise team members as needed. You will plan and assign work by priority, provide technical and administrative oversight, and promote team building to improve the team's work quality. You will set performance standards and review your team’s work to make sure it meets those standards. You will attend meetings to justify and negotiate accounting and financial management matters. You will apply accounting principles, regulations, and appropriation law to ensure accurate financial data and successful audits. You will enhance current reconciliation methods or develop new ones.
