Job Overview

We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and driven professional to work as a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker in a secure prison environment.

In this role you will handle a varied caseload, conduct assessments, deliver group and individual programmes, and support patients through the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of psychosocial patients with varying needs including substance misuse, mental health, trauma, and other care needs
• Work with reception to triage and carry out assessments for new patients entering the prison
• Deliver group sessions on overdose awareness, harm reduction, motivation to change, relapse prevention and wellbeing
• Facilitate SMART Recovery, Narcotics Anonymous, Inside Out, and other recovery programmes
• Provide comprehensive psychosocial interventions and assessments, including SMART Recovery
