Student Research Assistant

Position Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This research project examines Canadian immigration policies and programs, with a focus on understanding how immigration policies differ across provinces, how they have evolved over time, and their implications for provincial labour markets and future immigration policy development. The successful candidate will conduct a comprehensive literature review of Canadian immigration policies and programs, examine policy developments, interprovincial variations, and emerging challenges, identify research gaps, and synthesize evidence from academic and policy literature. The Research Assistant will also summarize research findings, prepare annotated bibliographies, assist with data collection and analysis as needed, and participate in regular meetings with the research team.
