Structural Welder/Fitter - North Slope, AK - Rotational

Job Description Plans, lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of structural metal products. Welds, tacks and assembles together metal components of products such as modules, structural steel, pipe racks and plate welding with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties. Works at heights while tied off, assembly & disassembly of temporary structures used during construction. Spotting for equipment, rigging & signaling as needed. *Hiring for the position is contingent on contract award* Responsibilities Read isometric drawings and determine which specifications to use to ensure understanding of projects. Set up and maintain welding machines and associated equipment for welding. Inspect and operate all power tools associated with welding in a safe and productive manner.
