Job Summary

The Streetlight Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of public lighting systems, including streetlights, roadway lighting controls, and related electrical infrastructure. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of lighting systems in compliance with California electrical codes, Caltrans standards, and local municipal regulations.


Please note that this position will be based in Bradenton, Florida

Primary Responsibilities

Installation & Upgrades

  • Install new streetlight systems, including poles, fixtures, wiring, and control equipment.

  • Replace or upgrade lighting components (e.g., LEDs, ballasts, photocells, drivers).

  • Assist in retrofitting older lighting systems to energy-efficient LED technology.

  • Interpret and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
