Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and providing sterile instruments and supplies for surgery. Requires memorization skills and attention to detail. Must hold current sterile processing tech certification or obtain certification within six months of hire.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for sterile processing of instruments, equipment and supplies
• Collects, cleans, inspects and reassembles instrument sets
• Knowledgeable and maintains competency in the cleaning and processing of sterile equipment, supplies and instruments
• Reviews operating room schedules, anticipating needs and/or conflicts with instrumentation or equipment
