Statistician

About the Role

Working within the Cougars Athletics and Recreation department, these are flexible positions whose work schedule is variable and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week. These positions will end March 31, 2027.

The Statisticians are members of the Cougar Athletics Varsity Game Day Events Team. These positions will be for the duration of the sport season. Statisticians fill incredibly important roles which directly impact events through the accurate recording of game statistics which are viewed live by fans and crucial for record keeping. The incumbent is expected to become an expert in the statistical software required for their assigned sport and maintain practices for accurate recording of statistics while play occurs during games. Knowledge of the sports rules and memorization of rosters is important in this position.
