Staff Scientist - Shkaabe Makwa

Job Description Shkaabe Makwa at CAMH is the first hospital-based Centre in Canada designed to improve the health and wellbeing of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across Ontario by advancing holistic models of mental health and wellness care rooted in traditional healing practices. The Centre delivers care, co-designs research, and mobilises knowledge and tools to transform health systems. It implements community‑identified solutions to foster health justice.

The role is a full‑time, permanent Staff Scientist position. The Staff Scientist reports to the Scientific Director of Shkaabe Makwa and will lead and support research critical to Shkaabe Makwa’s initiatives, strengthen collaborative research with research centres across CAMH, and manage the development, planning and implementation of Shkaabe Makwa’s research projects and knowledge mobilisation initiatives.
