Pharmacist
Job Description
The pharmacist acts as a patient advocate and serves as a resource to advise physicians on the best available pharmaceutical products or services for their patients. The pharmacist ensures that prescriptions are accurately filled and timely delivered, while counseling customers with all pertinent information on medication use. They lead the staff to achieve these objectives efficiently, legally, cost-effectively, and courteously.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all technicians and pharmacy operations comply with pharmacy law and are conducted safely.
+ Process, fill, and deliver prescriptions accurately to patients.
+ Answer phone calls according to company-wide standards.
+ Review patient profiles for drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, therapy optimization, and drug allergies accurately and efficiently.
+ Recommend alternative pharmaceutical therapies when appropriate.
