Staff Mechanical Hardware Engineer - Displays

**Job Description**


We are seeking a high-performing Staff Mechanical Design Engineer interested in leading the in-house development of GM display mechanical design. You will be responsible for the mechanical design, development, analysis and review of Display packaging, A-surface development along with B-side integration (clips, screw bosses, etc.) for our next generation SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) architecture. You will be depended upon to build strong partnerships with internal and external customers.


What You’ll do:


+ Execute mechanical design of displays per program timing, leading tosuccessful launch of the product.
+ Using GM Studio theme (i.e., A-surface) as the guide, design mechanical components including castings, injection moldings, stampings, seals, PCBA mounts, adhesives, connector interface and fastening, etc.
+ Perform design calculations, GD&T and tolerance stacks.
