Staff Java Backend Engineer — Remote (Portugal)

WE ARE META is recruiting a Staff Java Backend Developer for a full-remote role based in Portugal. You will contribute to large-scale backend systems, lead design discussions, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in Java and Spring Boot within a globally distributed team.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Java backend development, experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL Federation, Terraform, and strong CI/CD skills. English fluency (B2) is required for collaboration.
