The main role includes managing patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders to optimize and achieve maximal functional outcomes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities- Assess patient’s swallowing and communication function, including the evaluation of the functional communication ability, encompassing both speech and language.
- Provide holistic treatment and management plans following assessment.
- Educate family members and caregivers on interventions and care giving skills.
- Contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.
