EU Operations Sustainability drives the decarbonization of Amazon's operational footprint across Europe, focusing on reducing environmental impact from transportation, buildings, and energy consumption. The team develops and executes strategies spanning First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile logistics — including waste circularity, water stewardship, biodiversity and building a culture of Sustainability, at fulfillment centers, sort centres and delivery stations. Working cross-functionally with EU Operations, WW Sustainability, engineering and procurement, the EU Ops Sustainability team translates Amazon's Climate Pledge commitments into actionable programs with measurable targets. The team also navigates the evolving European regulatory landscape to ensure compliance while identifying opportunities to accelerate decarbonization ahead of mandated timelines.
