- Meet with suppliers, customers and quality representatives as necessary. This includes monitoring the backlog, identifying any potential problems that may prevent on-time delivery to our customers and recommending solutions whenever possible.
- Ensure timely review of MRP requirements to guarantee on-time deliveries of goods and services as well as ensuring the accuracy of various ERP parameters related to the purchasing function.
- Meet regularly with management and other support functions (Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Accounting) to help ensure flawless execution of the business plan.
- Generate status reports for management that indicate the overall health of the purchasing.
- Monitor and assist, as needed, with corrective actions issued to the purchasing function.
- Translate program requirements into sourcing strategies; develop and execute RFx for proto, pre production, and ramp.
